It started snowing late last night and did not finish until late this afternoon. We promised Matty and Joey that we would all go outside and play after nap time. Silly us. Nap time became anticipation time. It had nothing to do with watching, singing with and dancing to the concert at the Lincoln Memorial that was televised today. No, nor the beautiful speeches that brought tears to this momma's eyes or the knowledge that the promise of a better tomorrow had arrived. Not at all. It had nothing to do with this momma whispering to her sons as she danced with them that they too one day could reach for the stars. Nope. It was the anticipation of playing in the snow. Really. Matty reached for the snow and made his own moment of joy and wonder. I love these moments and I loved today.
