Day 20 of 365I laid the special edition of the Globe on the desk of the 1st African American Dentist to practice in Massachusetts, my children's great grandfather. That old metal motorcycle and rider is my children's grandfather's. A quiet man who worked for the post office, one of the federal jobs a black man could get. Now a black man holds the highest esteemed office anyone could have. They are no longer with us, so this is a tribute to them. May President Obama have wisdom, compassion and strength.
